January 18, 2022

Over 40 people gathered at Grimsby Town FC football stadium to celebrate the launch of the Community Renewal Fund that will support businesses based in North East Lincolnshire involved in seafood processing and the supply-chain as well as hospitality.

Cluster director, Simon Dwyer, welcomed attendees from the industry and representatives of North East Lincolnshire Council, Greater Lincolnshire LEP and Seafish Industry Authority as well as business support stakeholders.

Professor Val Braybrooks, who leads the Lincoln University Campus, National Centre for Food Manufacturing (NCFM) team and is responsible for delivering the support outputs, explained about the unique opportunities for businesses to access grant funding and business support from experts at NCFM plus partners. NCFM’s Mat Thompson went into further details of how NCFM can and will support these businesses and shared case studies from previous awards NCFM have been involved with.

Those interested in the fund can contact Simon Dwyer – who will sign post interested parties to the NCFM team
