August 09, 2023

Grimsby Fish Merchants Association have teamed up with E-Factors' Great Big Small Business Festival to offer a very unique insight into the world of Grimsby's fish and seafood cluster and the importance it has on the local economy.

Limited to 10 participants the tour starts at Grimsby's fish market at 6.30 am, to see the hustle and bustle of a working market and how it operates.

Following breakfast of Grimsby's finest smoked haddock the tour will continue viewing the Grimsby Seafood Cluster premises, with stops to meet the several seafood business owners.

Rachel Appleton, Food Business Advisor at E-factor, said: The Great Big Small Business Festival week brings together a combination of engaging activities, business tours, keynote speakers, a large business expo, practical business workshops, and a lot of networking opportunities. The opportunity to highlight the important work of Grimsby's Seafood Cluster, and expose the supply chain to this sector is very exciting. We are happy to be able to work closely with Simon and his team to deliver this unique event, designed to inspire and inform, and we thank them for the hard work involved in delivering it."

Simon Dwyer representing the Fish Merchants Associations commented "We welcome the opportunity for the local seafood industry to showcase itself to small businesses working with E-Factor. We will conclude the tour with a presentation on the cluster and the current projects we're working on"
